After failing as a fun mommy this morning by being over controlling and not remembering that sometimes learning does not have to occur, I tried to redeem myself by taking my kiddos out in the snow. I am no snow fan whatsoever at all. I like to look at it from a warm distance before anyone touches it. Today was the first day with temperatures above freezing since our return from Utah so we went out and made sure our snow told a story of busy bodied kiddos. Tate informed me we now need to invest in a sled.
The only way to get a picture with both of them facing the same way was so shove them in the snow. Ian literally could not get up.
He hated his gloves. I contemplated taking them off and letting his hands freeze, but decided against it. He's got his whole life ahead of him to figure that out.
Tate's snow angel has horns... and no halo?
Tate and I decided to build a snowman. After our fist one was finished he asked me how we make it come alive. When I told him our snowman didn't have those abilities he handled it like a champ. A few minutes later he informed me the snowman needed a girl friend, the two word version. I don't know if this stemmed from our FHE on Monday when we talked about Adam needed a wife but he was adamant his snowman had a companion. After building the girl he wanted it to have a bowtie, and he supplied bread as the material to make it out of. Then he was sure we should build a snow train with wheels, a coal hopper, and lots of freight cars. I am going to have to invest in better gloves to keep up with the snow construction this guy dreams up.
