Conference is always such a blessing in our lives. I miss the times I took fro granted the chance to simply listen and learn. My mother reminded me today someday I would get to do that again. For now it is constant entertaining mode with few moments of peace but many funny memories. Yesterday and today, Tate and Ian came up with new ways to get comfy while we watched.
Eating and listening is always a good method. Especially when conference is over lunchtime. This method gets the "most practical" ribbon.
We have instituted funny face time each night before bed and Tate is getting good, as shown above. Tate calls this snuggling with Dad. I like his definition of snuggling and think I'll keep it this way for a while. This method gets the ribbon for "short lived success." It worked until his snacks were gone.
Don't you just look at those boys and think of comfort? We have the plastic chair bed created by Tate himself and the toddler neck cran. It was too good not to take a picture. The ribbon for this one would be "most likely to leave you needing an adjustment." I guess "back breaker" would be better and might actually fit on a ribbon.
My personal favorite was their boats. I didn't even plan this one. Yesterday I found that my diaper stash was completely depleted and did an emergency run to get some. Little did I know that the boxes from this trip would provide the best conference entertainment yet. They threw pom poms back and forth, pushed tongue depressors out the holes, and just sat. Tate even utilized it for both sessions today. It warrants the "best all around" ribbon. I can't imagine life without these adorable kiddos or without the gospel. I love the recharge that comes from conference and hope to be a better mommy for these little monkeys!
