Something for Me

I finally realized how much fun I have writing on my blog over the last couple months when I haven't had the chance to do it. I never considered myself a writer, but I do love sharing the things that make me laugh and telling my husband how funny I am so that he will read it. There is a silly thrill I get from the way he rolls his eyes at how I recount the adventures of my day. I guess the difference is now he shares my days with me for the most part. What a blessing it is.

We got back to Davenport almost 3 weeks ago after an 8 week vacation to Utah. That's another story, but these three weeks have been full of adjustment and learning for us. Tate is relearning to take naps, discovering everything, and eating full meals for the first time in his life. Today during his nap time he tipped over his lamp and unscrewed the light bulb. Luckily it didn't break but where his notions come from I don't think I'll ever understand. Josh thinks he gets his ideas from Mars. He only naps now about once every three days, but his sleeping positions are something else.

Ian is learning that all naps are not taken in the arms of people who love him and he slept in his crib all night long, except for one midnight snack, for the first time in his life last night. He rolled from his back to his belly today too. I think the second child grows up so  much faster because the first one already has you running around like a chicken with your head cut off! Ian discovered Josh's radiation mask the other day and had a lovely conversation with it. It's definitely a good listener with a story to tell.

Josh started therapies again today. He is in a new one now called neural-feedback that rewards him for good brain behavior with beeping. It's interesting. They put electrodes on his head and ears. I'm excited to see how it will help him in the future. He wowed his speech therapist. He is quite impressive I must say.

I sure do love my boys and am so grateful and blessed to have them.
